I assume the Eye TV (from the option selection in setup screens) is the same for the TV as the HDPVR. I don't know how much help this will be, but I had problems with my Hauppauge HD PVR and had several discussions with Eye TV tech support (who were very helpful) when I ran on my Mac-mini, and it is now fully functional on my hackintosh (due I think to all the help I received here).
